workaround for writing a triplet with a quarter rest and the 8th note?

Hi, in beat 1 of measure 16 here, is there any way to write a quarter rest and the 8th? Right now, it's only letting me write two 8th rests, not the quarter rest: https://drive.google.com/file/d/14k4bS8QlMZUlF-zagm0ZaIBhkENKAOm-/view?usp=sharing

Mac OS Big Sir version 11.7, Finale version 26.3.1.643

Hello Katherine,

These steps work for me:

Speedy Entry Tool.

Option-1 (= opens the Tuplet Definition which defaults to 3 Eighths in the space of 2 Eighths)

Return (or Enter) (= OK)

Shift-Option-5 (= enters a Quarter Rest)

4 (= enters the Eighth)
