This is not normal behavior, of course. Unfortunately, without knowing what you did as you “recently updated the file”, we’re not likely to have a clue.

So… what were you doing and how? Do you have a backup of that file?

Yes, I have a backup of the file. I made some minor changes to that file and saved it one day later, but the banks were 

empty. I don't recall doing anything unusual.
