Finale won't play the notes as I input them

Windows 10 Finale for Windows

I am using the speedy entry tool, no MIDI device, but for some reason it suddenly stopped playing the notes as I put them in. Any clue what the problem could be? Playback works fine.

Anytime something suddenly stops working, my first step is to restart the computer.

Take a look in the Speedy menu.

I was able to fix the problem. I selected playback through MIDI instead of VST and played through the piece for a few measures. Then I switched back to VST and it worked fine again. It happened again and the same thing happened. Not sure what the issue was but at least its working now.

Are the notes out of range for the instrument selected in the Score Manager/Aria Player?
