Macbook Pro, v27 Would like to use some form of external keypad (that not be the best term) to enter note and rest durations along with some essential commands while using a MIDI keyboard for pitch. Macbook number row is not that comfortable. Your recommendations please, and thanks!

I've used this one for a long while - bluetooth - USB-C charging. Mine came with switchable configuration - Mac/PC and has all of the function keys up through F19.  Works great with Finale with my MacBook Pro.  About $30. Color matches the dark laptop perfectly.
