Hi there
Quick one for you. I woudl like to know a bit more about how Aria handles panning of each section? I mean, I import Violon section 1 KS, Violon section 2 KS, Viola section KS, etc. etc. etc. Once loaded, on each channel, there is the pan knob basically factory adjust for each section once loaded. But when looking at am orchestra disposition, the violon 1 should be hard left, violon 2 about half way between center and violon 1, viola about the center, Cello and Contrabass at the right, etc. When looking at the panning button for Violon section 1, it's about a quarter turn from the center to the left. Shouldn't it be more like, at least, panned halfway, or 75% hard left, or something like that? I know they are all stereo samples, but I'm curious to know more about it. I work in Logic pro 9 and Aria is opened as an multioutput instrument insert. I've read plenty of midi orchestration books refering to the actual panning and was curious about the factory set one of Garritan's Aria. Should I manage the panning just as it is factory set, or panning everythign dead center and manage the panning Inside LOgic pro and the direction mixer (stereo panning plugin)
Thanks :)
