is it possible to add an instrument -and creating the linked part- without losing the other parts (already done) formatting? any trick?
Yes, it is possible. 1) Add the instrument. 2) Document menu > Manage Parts… Create a new part for the added instrument. The other parts (already formatted) will not be affected.
