Finale v26
I've encountered sound problems (playback starts distorted and in slow-mo) and it appears that only after switching to ASIO in Device Setup they are fixed. However upon restarting the program, settings return to "Direct", and now I find I can no longer switch to ASIO and the system crashes when I try.
The basic thing is a conflict on your computer and Finale. First thing I would do is make sure all sound drivers are up to date.
Along with your video driver and perhaps the printer driver. I am assuming Windows and Windows does not update drivers very well. You need to go to each ones web site and check yourself.
