I'm a long time user of finale with speedy entry. However I'm trying to teach a student how to use simple entry.

Looking at the Trailblazer book I can find nothing about entering a dot after a note without using the mouse to click on tools on side of screen. (Student is handicapped)

I find all kinds of other commands, but nothing about adding a dot to a half note. I tried typing period as mentioned in tools list, nothing happens.

I would appreciate any help here. Thank you.
