You would double-click on a file to open it. Or, open Finale, File > Open… and navigate to your file on Finder.

Not enough information. What version of Finale created these files? Mac or Windows — it makes a difference (if Mac, the solution is easy).

You should be able to open these files from within Finale by selecting Open, then navigating to the file you want.
