DEAR FRIENDS, 

I am currently running Finale 2012 on a Macbook Pro 10.8.5. 

I have been gifted a new computer running, 10.10.5. 

I am taking advantage of the 79 dollar upgrade to Finale 25. 

Can I download the Finale 25 upgrade on the new computer? Or do I have to reinstall, Finale 2012 and then install the Finale 25 upgrade?

You should be able install v25 without having a previous version on your machine.

All of Finale’s “upgrades” are full installations, as far as I know. So, as George said, there is no problem installing it as is.

No sweat.  As long as MakeMusic.com knows you’re eligible, you’re good. 

 

You may have upgrade issues if you use the Chrome browser, have a firewall, VPN or antivirus enabled. Safari or Firefox is fine and if you have to disable any of the others temporarily, do so. Once the upgrade is done, you’re fine and can switch back or reenable as needed.
