I know it sounds weird but I am transcribing a piece in 12/8 on a Mac. The very first bar top line has 8th quarter 8th quarter 8th quarter 8th while the bottom has an 8th rest followed by a dotted half. how do I tell Finale to do this as a pickup? Picture is attached.

Set the time signature for the first measure to 7/8 displayed as 12/8. This is a common strategy for creating pickup measures in Finale.
