Finale (Windows v25) does not save the measure widths I set.

It is often necessary to widen measures to accommodate chord symbols.  After saving, closing, and reopening a file the old measure widths are restored, chord symbols are jumbled, and I have to set them all over again.

Any solutions?

This is an Automatic Music Spacing problem. Automatic Music Spacing does not account for adjusted measure widths or beat chart spacing. Turn off automatic spacing if you want to keep your adjustments (in theory at least).

Thanks for that.  While looking for how to turn off AMS, I found that it is possible to select 'avoid collision of chords', the perfect solution.
