Whenever a vocal part and piano part are in different time signatures, the cresc. signs on the piano part are impossible to control.
I've resorted to attaching the cresc. sign to the vocal part and dragging it down to the piano, but is there something else I can do? I've noticed this to be true with some expressions as well.

Two ideas:
1) When working with independent time signatures, let the staff with the biggest time signature not have Independent Time Signature.
Example:
a staff in 2/4, and a staff in 6/8
Select the option {Independent Time Signature} for the 2/4 staff (not for the 6/8 staff).
2) Instead of using {Independent Time Signature} for the rhythmical values, use the {Independent Time Signature} for display only, and create the rhythmical values as (hidden) tuplets.
