Problems with merging the same notes between different layers when there's a chord

Hello,

I currently have an Issue in Finale with this: https://imgur.com/a/ijnNbdX

I would like to merge the G notes in the top right bar. I have included my Music Spacing options because all other help said to change them to those. This unfortunately didn't work for me. Is there a way to do this? Thank you in advance!

Hello, that is indeed what I am looking for. I am currently using 2 layers and I do not get your result. Thank you sorry for being unclear!

I, too, use two layers.

After you changed the music spacing settings, you did select the region, and applied music spacing, right?

I can not explain how two Finale users can get different results, when the settings are the same.

My first guess would be that you are not using exactly the settings shown in your screen shot.

More specifically I suspect that you did not use this particular setting:

It seems I did not apply it after I changed the clear option. I remember applying it before though, I feel silly now. Sorry to take of your time and thanks a lot!
