Suddenly the bottom staff in a 6-staff system showed up with six (6) lines. How do I replace the staff with 5 lines without losing the notes appearing there?
What version of Finale? - Operating system?
Anyway, here is a “shot in the dark”:
Window menu > ScoreManager > Instrument List
In the Instrument List, select the bottom staff.
In the lower right corner of the Instrument List, look at the settings, My first guess would be that the Notation Style is set to Tablature.
In the pop up menu, choose Standard instead.
