I have developed a strange problem.  Since yesterday, I have been getting percussion sound effects in cornet lines both in entering notes in simple entry and in playback.  This started just today.  Any ideas of what may cause this?  It has never occurred before.  I have not changed any setting nor have I used Garitan instrument.  I am using Mac OS Catalina, version 10.15.5.  Finale version 26.2.2.493.  Thanks.

If you are not using Aria/Garritan instruments, is your cornet by any chance using MIDI slot 10? General MIDI normally reserves channel 10 for unpitched percussion sounds.

OK.  I found it in score manager

.  It is using slot midi slot 10 (now its the bass trombone).  How do I change it to the correct slot?

In Score Manager, double-click on the channel number, and change it.
