This is a part that begins with alto sax and later changes to flute. The alto is in

the key of D and the flute is in F. When I try to change the key signature in the

extracted part, nothing happens. It stays in D. What am I doing wrong?

What method are you using to change the instrument? Is there a key change in the score, when the instrument changes?

 

Do you have "display in concert pitch" deselected?

Display in concert pitch is deselected.

No key change in the score because only the alto player will change to the flute

On the extracted part, I double click the measure (key signature tool). Key won't change.

Glad I could help. You might also want to look at the JW Instrument Change plugin, for labeling the change.

I see JW Pattern under plug-ins, but no instrument change?
