Drum Set notation

Layer 2 has bass drum

Layer 1 has eight 1/8 notes ride cymbal on top of the staff in the measure

I want the snare drum to play: sixteenth/eighth/sixteenth below the cymbal

Tried using the number pad to put the snare a fifth below the cymbals, but the snare rhythms default all eighth notes

What is the trick?

What should the layout look like?

Could you perhaps attach a scanning of the manuscript?

I can not see any Bass Drum notes in the manuscript you attached.

Perhaps you attached the wrong scanning of the manuscript?

Anyway, here is a common solution (= Snare and Bass in Layer 2):
