Windows OS

I imported an xml file with a score and individual parts, but I can only see/edit the score in NotePad.  Is there a way to see/edit the parts?  I do not see any Document - Edit Score or Document - Edit Part drop down as in fuller Finale versions.  Is this one of the limitations of features in NotePad?  Thanks for any info.

I had no idea NotePad is still available. Windows only these days.

 

It was ok for working with my students back in the day.

And I started with NotePad, myself. But it’s really an entrance level product. Compare a Model A to a new Lexus.

 

And it should be available for all platforms, since it is a good way to introduce people to the product and the basics of music notation.

Thanks to the Mikes (from Mike) for your thoughts.  Seems nice so far for my purposes, helping a young child learn some notation.  If I run into any important roadblocks in the future, I'll probably spring for PrintMusic.

I would suggest that you save up a few extra bucks and get the full Finale. PrintMusic was stopped at 2014, and it probably won't be developed further. Why buy instant obsolescence?
