I use the latest version of Finale, and for some reason, even though the top staff isn't muted in studio view, I get nothing from it when I try to play stuff back. Other staves are unaffected.
Was this file created in Finale? In the Score Manager, does it have an instrument assigned to its own channel? Is the volume up on that channel? Anything muted or soloed? Can you insert another staff, and copy the notes into it?
File was created in Finale, every channel's got its own instrument, nothing's muted or turned down in Studio View. I can insert staves and do as you say.
