Using Finale 27 on Windows 11:
I have created a score that has 8 instruments. Finale is defaulting to 2 systems per page of the score. I would like to change the layout and only have one of the systems per page so I can turn the page to landscape mode when printing the score. How do I accomplish this?
1. Get 1 system with 8 instruments per page.
2 Turn the page to landscape mode when printing. (right now when I tell it to print that way it just cuts off half the score when turning it sideways.
1) Document menu > Page Format > Score…
In the dialog box Page Format for Score you can set the default formatting for new pages/systems - and e. g. change the page orientation to landscape.
You can also change the page scaling, and the margins.
2) To update already existing pages with the new formatting settings, switch to the Page Layout Tool.
Page Layout menu > Redefine Pages > All Pages of Current Part/Score
You may have to experiment with 1) and 2) until the pages look as you need them.
3) File menu > Page Setup…
When you are done with 1) - 2) - 3), try printing.
