I am on Windows 10, using Finale v. 25. After installing Finale, I get the following error: The requested virtual instrument plugin could not be found.

Hence, when entering notes, I hear no sound when adding them, nor during playback.

Anybody know how to fix this issue?

Welcome to the forum!

 

First, take a look in the MIDI/Audio menu.

Is the menu item

Play Finale Through MIDI

selected or de-selected?

 

… After installing Finale …

 

There are two installers:

One installer (1) for the Finale application, and another installer (2) for the VST playback.

 

Did you run only the first installer (1) ?
