My piece is written in A-flat major. When I press the key for A on my keyboard, the computer automatically registers the pitch as B double-flat.
Is it possible to change it so it registers an A?

I suppose that you, by your word ‘keyboard’, mean MIDI keyboard (not computer keyboard) - right?
Finale uses Spelling Tables to decide the enharmonic spelling.
You can switch to another Spelling Table, or you can create your own Spelling Table(s).
Are you using Windows Finale or Mac Finale?
