I don’t understand. What happens when you have the score and just export to audio? And can’t you playback while in Finale? To play back in finale, just display the playback controls and hit Play....

I don't see why two different Macs would be an issue. Dorico SE is their free and more limited version, I believe.
Wondering if it's a windows issue, as I've not seen that on a Mac. But then there are other issues on macOS for Finale.
