I think I need a definition of what you mean by legacy strings. You don't mean GOS then do you? I am a bit confused about this. Ahh, upon reading I see you mean GPO 4 orchestral strings as legacy.

I am running Finale 25 and GPO5 on a Windows 10 computer. I find that on the strings "KS (GOS)" sounds, when I put a bowed tremolo mark in the score, I get anything but a tremolo - I get staccato...

I have been frustrated by the same thing. I place a bowed tremolo mark on a note and get a pizz. sound or a staccato. Makes me regret making the upgrade from GPO 4. I got what I asked for there....
