I have the same problem with the white box around the eraser. I have used Finale for years and this has never happened before this week. I have Finale 25.5. my Mac OS is Monterrey.

I unchecked the four beams together in Document Options, but it still beams four notes together. I need two notes beamed together. IMAC Finale 25. thanks, Judy Vidal
