Select your lyrics in the lyrics window. Go to the Text menu (not the Lyrics menu) and choose Character Settings... That will open up another window, where you can select all sorts of things!
You might also try making that change in the time signature window dialogue box and uncheck “rebar.” Thanks to a poster in the other forum for that tip! Please put your Finale version and compute...
Try selecting the measure and MIDI/Audio menu > Retranscribe
You might consider downloading the demo of a more current version of PM or Finale, and see if that works.

Make sure that Play Though MIDI is selected in the MIDI/AUDIO UNITS menu.
