Are you on a desktop or laptop? They have different shortcut commands.
Do the ossia in another doc, export it as a graphic, and paste it into your primary.
I sent him a file as musicxml, and it worked for him.
Adrian, According to the XML Preferences, an uncompressed file (which is what he needs) is musicxml.
