I would suggest you learn either Simple or Speedy Entry. Both can be used with a MIDI keyboard. If you are trying to use Hyperscribe, to actually play your pieces in, see my first suggestion.

You should be able to use it unregistered for 30 days. Then, you will lose the ability to print or save work.

My suggestion is to get the program PopChars from ergonis.com. Not expensive, and hands down the best way to get the characters you need.

- Can [some] fingering numbers get programmed to go below notes?
Duplicate the fingering numbers, and edit the new set to appear below the notes. Save them in your template, so you will always have them available.
