I've never heard of a right-click-drag. And it doesn't work at all for me. Is there a reason not to use the hand grabber tool? You can program a shortcut key to switch to it.
Export as XML, and import it back in. That seems to fix a lot. You could also try Clear Selected Items > MIDI Data.
Try using the arpeggio articulation, rather than the gliss smart shape (which is what I think you may be using. If I’m wrong, sorry!)
