I'm getting the same message.
Where do you want to put them? NotePad will only put them where they are supposed to be. You can't adjust the position, other than vertically.
Contact MM sales staff and ask them.
You can also break beams with the simple entry tool. But as Bruce says, it's a pain if you have a whole score to do.
Once entered, you can drag it to any position. The dotted line will show you as it jumps from beat to beat.
Install the demo, and find out.
Go to Google, and search “uninstall Finale on Mac”
Just a wild guess here. The demo version of Finale doesn’t include the Garritan sounds or the software to use them. (Is that what a DSL or a VST is?) Anyway, that may be why they won’t play nicely ...
Have you restarted the computer?
