Did you uninstall before you reinstalled? There may have been damaged files that weren’t overwritten. Might there have been a Windows update?

Do you mean it’s playing behind the green bar? What version of Finale? Try these: 1. Restart Finale 2. Shut down and reboot the computer 3. Refresh the preferences

There isn’t any way to “lock” a Finale doc from opening, as far as I know. Could you put one of them on Dropbox, and see if one of us can open it? There have been no updates to PrintMusic for Mac ...

Ed, Are you on Windows or Mac? On a Mac, right click on the file, and choose Get Info. Windows, I don't know. But unless it's a 30 page orchestral score, I doubt it's big enough to matter.

After you’ve done that, save a library of the chords. Then, you can use them in other documents.
