Ok, I use an iMac Pro and am not having your issue. I am not running VEP, however. Although I have LPx etc., my DAW is Digital Performer which I connect via ReWire to Finale.

Windows does not have a native pdf tool. Various 3rd party tools give different results. This does not affect Mac users to my knowledge.
