Don't delete the groups. If you want to hide the group name, it can be done via Staff menu -> Groups and Brackets -> Edit. In the window that appears, uncheck "Show Group Name". Do it for each group.

Thanks Mike. Do you mean that these GUI problems (Save, etc..) appear in several programs or only in Finale ?
