Ernest, Yep. Tried that, but to no effect. I have used that very thing to correct an issue where instrument sound assignments get confused, but it has no effect on the NP/PL problem.

Print Spooler used to be an issue on an old version of Finale (FinWin95 perhaps?). Please don't tell me it's back again... I just set the spooler's priority to LOW. We'll see if that helps...
