So I have updated my Finale to latest version and I'm use to all kinds of small bugs or problems when updating, but this one is serious in my opinion. When opening multiple documents the undo actions won't work at all. Or maybe it is because I have Sibelius and Finale open at the same or maybe it is because I import XML files into Finale, I really don't know why it happens.
The application has to be shut down and opened again, to make it work again.

Maybe a lot of things — without sitting at your Mac it’s hard to know. How much RAM do you have on this Mac and how often do you reboot? You should reboot daily.

 

I would do the following: 1) download and reinstall Finale, shut down and reboot 2) do a Safe Boot holding the Shift key — after logging into your User Account and your desktop icons rebuild, reboot again, 

 

Make sure that you have the actual document you are using on top and active. Open the Activity Monitor and see if anything turns red when this fails—if it does, drill down immediately and see if that shows you where the problem is.

 

After this happens, does rebooting restore functionality? I suspect it might.

Hi Mike.

Thank you for taking your time to address my problem. I reboot daily and I'm sure that it has something to with importing XML files while working on other documents as well. But if it won't go away, I will do a new clean install; thank you.
My Mac Mini is quite powerful and I have 16GB of RAM.
