Hope someone can help me. Went out of town and left my laptop home. I planned on taking a few days off.  That ended pretty quickly. I was just sent 3 scores to edit and make notes and send back to the composer.  I have the latest version of Finale ( at home) on a Mac. I have my iPad. I’ve looked on the site and I’m preparing for bad news. Is there any way to read a .mus file on an IPad without finale?  I can make notes with Apple Pencil and send back to the composer.  Getting the composer to send pdf files is a last resort. Having to explain why I can’t read the files won’t end well

There is no version of Finale for iPad.

A possible workaround is Presonus Notion for iOS. Last I checked, it’s around $15 in the App Store. You should not need the sounds that are in-app purchases if editing a score, I would think. There are a number of apps called Notion so make sure you are getting the right one.

Have your composer export the Finale file via MusicXML 3.0 (Notion does not support 3.1 or 4.0) and email it to you. Export from Notion the same way.

Otherwise, there are a number of pdf readers and editors for iPad. Good luck.
