Finale 25, Sierra 10.12, GIFF.  I work with a lot of Handbell scores and never had those sounds until recently when using the handbell template. While trying to get an older score to playback with that sound I lost it in my template too.  It doesn't show in soft synth and doesn't play in GIFF. How can I get that play back sound back?

Have you tried Reassign Playback Sounds in the MIDI/Audio menu. If you are set to play through VST (Aria) and your computer has the sound (which I think come with the GiFF sounds included), then the program should assign Handbells if that is what you have selected in  column 1 of the Score Manager.

Finale 25. Working on handbell music, I cannot hear the different techniques (marts, echo, shake, etc.) when I listen to it. What do I do to enable that? Thanks.

The only keyswitches the Handbells seem to have are single stroke and "roll," which merely restrikes the bell on release, I suppose to double the number of strokes available and does not sound very convincing to me. So I expect your VST playback options are limited. (The GPO Handbells are the same.)

If you search "VST Handbell Sounds" on your search engine, you should be able to see what else is out there.
