Ive tried several times to update my 25.1 to 25.2. Upon running the new version which does not show the finale icon, I get a popup window UNHANDLED EXCEPTION CAUGHT.

 

How do I get this version to update correctly?

I'm on El Capitan 10.11.6

Hi Scott,

Thanks for posting. I'd recommend that you trying uninstalling and reinstalling using the full installer of Finale v25.2 (rather than the updater). Try this and let us know how it goes!

1. Quit Finale

2. Delete Finale from the Applications folder and Dock

3. In Finder, navigate to Macintosh HD/Library/MakeMusic and delete the Finale folder

4. Empty trash and restart

5. Go to www.finalemusic.com, click My Account, login, and download the full Finale v25 installer, which will have the 25.2 update included with it

Let us know how it goes after reinstalling!
