To write this into a part, it requires me to fill a measure with two notes, both occupying the beat-value of the entire measure using only one layer. Can anyone help with this?  Thank you.

Hey Adrian.  In the image, if you look at violin 2 in measure 1, you'll see that there are two whole notes in one measure.  How do we write this in finale?

Put two half-notes in the measure (C and Eb), highlight the measure, and then apply the Easy Tremelos... plug-in from TG Tools.
