I am using a windows version of Finale 2012 and I would like to separate the drumline from the main VST sound bank and give them their own sound bank so I can adjust the volume and effects to better suit the mix. Fortunately, all but the snare line naturally made it into the 2nd bank. The snare got placed in spot 16 of bank 1 and when I remove it and place it in bank 2 with the rest of the drumline, Finale fails to playback the snare parts. I assume this is because Finale is still looking for the snare line in bank 1 and does not know it is now in bank 2. So how can I tell finale to use the sound for the snare part from bank two? If anyone has other ideas or ways to achieve my goal, I am up for anything. I really just need to bring the drumline up in the mix so it can be heard.

You should be able to set the Drumline instrument(s) in a separate instance of the Aria player in Devices and Effects using the Score Manager. You are correct that this is not happening. And it should not happen.

Hi all:

I am able to create multiple Aria Players in the VST Banks & Effects dialog box and then assign different instruments to different banks (Players) in the Score Manager. I do see in Finale 2012, when I first go into score manager I will only see "1, 2, Next Available". If I choose Next Available it will "find" 3 and then 4, etc.

Experience and interface is a little different and better in Finale v25.2, but is essentially the same. If you continue to have problems, contact Customer Success https://makemusic.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
