I use Windows 7 with the demo version of Finale and I am currently trying to figure out what software meets my needs.

I try to erase but does not work. Once I replace the notes they are also translucentish. I go to a different staff and enter no notes, no problem. What is going on?

Oddly enough, it's only certain notes in a certain range for a tenor part. Does not happen to notes above B natural space above the staff.

But starting with Bb space above the staff down, they are a weird light grey, as if there were some light reflection but there isn't.

Very strange. Corrupt?

Why did I say I use Windows 7? I am using Windows 10. I'm getting old.

My first guess would be

View menu > Out-of-Range Notes

You can safely toggle this feature off since it is “display on computer screen only”.
