When I click on a measure tool and right click, the option "delete a measure" is grayed out. I can see "delete a measure number," but that doesn't delete the measure.
I have finale 2014, microsoft windows 10.
It should be the same in 2014:
https://usermanuals.finalemusic.com/Finale2012Mac/Content/Finale/Measures3.htm
When I click on the measure tool and then click on the measure I want to delete, the treble clef lights up but not the bass clef.
When I double click on the measure I want to delete, the measure attributes, normal double, final, or solid comes up.
When I go to edit, the delete measure stack is grayed out.
If I click on select all, every measure in my WHOLE number is lit up.
If I click on edit without the treble clef highlighted, almost every option is grayed out except, select all, add measures, multimeasurement rests, and add units.
Use the Select Tool, not Measure Tool.
Follow the links in the one I already posted for more information. It's a good idea to understand this thoroughly as these are basic functions in Finale.
I know that MM wants us all to use the online help files but, since much of the functionality is the same with 2012/2014.5, it helps to download an old User Guide and search the .pdf file. You would have found this in less than a minute by opening the pdf and searching for delete measure and scrolling through every page containing those two words.
Unfortunately, this is not possible in the Help files and a .pdf User Guide for versions 2012, 2014, 2014.5 or 25 was never released.
You are EXACTLY right. I have been repeatedly going to their HELP menu which was of NO help.
What YOU referred me to eventually got me to the page that said press ctrl shft A to bring up the select key.
NOW, I'm able to solve that an other problems.
I don't know why they don't just include a Select key at the top of the page. I guess that would be too simple!
