So the image on the literal left is F25 and the image on the right is that same file exported as F2012, and opened and printed from there. I tried to export from F25 as PDF and printing from there and the result is the same. It's as if it isn't truly printing in black and white.

Just updated my printers firmware, to see if that was the problem also, and same result. If F2012 can print okay, then it isn't the printer or the OS... any thoughts?

I have the exact same issue. Finale 2014.5 prints as expected, but Finale 25 looks like your photo. PDFs look fine on screen but don't print well (tried on two different printers).

Same problem here.

Solution: I changed Color Matching in the print dialog from ColorSync to "In Printer," and saved the Preset as Finale.

Unfortunately, my new Preset is not automatically selected when printing from Finale. It must be manually selected for each print job.

Using the Graphics Tool to “Export Pages” as PDF seems to give me truly Black-and-White PDF files.

 

At least this works in the Mac version of Finale v25.

I do not know about the Windows version.
