Operating Mac OS Sierra 10.12.3.  Product worked fine up until yesterday. At first lost the "undo" function and the playback ability. Spoke to tech support and got rid of the preference setting per their instructions.  I restarted the computer, and now the entire program doesn't work. Just freezes.  I advised tech support over 2 hours ago and as of yet, no response. Pretty frustrating.

Any suggestions?

Yikes!

 

Since 10.12.3 came out 2 days ago, the first thing I did was to try printing a file. It did so with no problems.

 

I would try the following in this order:

1) Download and install the Combo Updater: https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1905?locale=en_US and run any other updates in the App Store.

2) Reboot in Safe Mode by shutting down, boot with the Shift key down and logging in—then reboot normally (Finale won't work in Safe Mode). This will take some time but it resets your paths & caches plus rebuilds the Desktop (just as in the OS 5–9 days). If you've been seeing blank alias icons, this will fix that, too.

3) If you still can't print, download and reinstall Finale 25.

 

You don't mention what printer. Is it a Canon?
