When I play on the Clavinova, the notation in Finale is wrong.  For Example:   I play E E F G,   Finale writes C C D E.

I ask it to set to 100 bmp, it goes at 88 bpm.  It seems to need calibration, but I cannot find out how to do that.

Any help?

I'm using Widows 7 on an HP Elitebook 8440. 64 bit.

Some synths can be set to export transposed MIDI values. Check to be sure this hasn't been reset unintentionally on you Clavinova.

The Clavinova, like most keyboard controllers, can output transposed pitch and/or MIDI data. The manual is online and searchable.

If you don't have user settings that need to be kept, you might want to reset it to factory defaults. Otherwise, look for the Transpose function. Fortunately, the .pdf file is searchable. You should find what you need in a few seconds.

This assumes that you are not entering data into a Finale staff set for a transposing instrument. In 2011, the Help files are easiest to access within Finale but they're available online as well.
