Hello

Finale 25, Windows 10 , Surface Pro 4, Keyboard Akai LPK 25

When I input notes in Speedy Entry with my MIDI keyboard, Finale shows only rests - with the right time value - but not pitches.

Everything seems ok, My keyboard LPK25 shows in the Midi Input of Finale, Device Setup/Midi Setup

and my NumPad is functioning ok.

So why don't I see the pitches?? I restarted a few times already.

Help appreciated

If you get only rests, then Finale is not receiving your MIDI note info, which probably means it cannot find your MIDI keyboard.

In the Speedy pull-down menu, do you have "Use MIDI device for input" checked?

Hello Daniel,

You can check MIDI keyboard input by using Simple Entry. If it is working you will get a note of the selected duration or, if it is not working, you will not get any note input.

You can also verify your MID keyboard functionality by using the MIDI OX application. www.midiox.com

Thank you for your answers. I checked and now it works. I was thinking that Finale would not run on the Surface Pro, but it does!
