While using "Staff Styles" to combine both oboe and cor anglais on one staff (the instrument is set as oboe, yet there are places where the player needs to play on the cor anglais - notated in F), I created a staff style using a down fifth transposition.

At the moment the staff style stops, the normal transposition appears again - everything fine, but it also automatically creates a double bar line, and I can't find the option in the staff style menu to prevent it from doing so ...

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

I have the same problem (alto saxophone switching to flute). The Measure Tool won't replace the double bar with a single. Especially irritating because the double bar runs through the entire instrumentation. I asked for tech help but so far have received to response. I posted the problem on Facebook. Maybe someone will respond with a solution?

Hi Robert and Sebastien,

The double bars appear because of Document Options. Specifically, under Document > Document Options > Barlines is an option labeled "Double barlines preceding key changes." Unchecking that option will remove these double bars, but it will also remove any other double bar before other key signature changes in this file, so you need to add them back manually with the Measure Tool, if you want them.

For muta in cor anglais and vice versa better do this:

select a bar > utilities > change instrument > done
