Hello,

1. I wrote a part for horn and saved it. Later I saved the file under "Trombone", changed the clef and made the needed changes.

When printing, the program spreads back the multimeasure rests which were created formerly.

Even when recreating the multimeasure rests, the file prints again seperate empty bars.

2. When starting a new file one can choose between paper sizes. Why doesn't the program saves this choice, so each time one has to rechoose paper size?

Greets,

Benny

I use Windows 7 and Finale's last version (25.2.092).

Nr. 1. may - may not - not be a bug.

If I understand you correctly, the saved document displays - on the computer screen - multimeasure rests as you need them, but they are broken in the print, right?

Nr. 2. is - technically speaking - not a bug, but rather an Unmet Reasonable Expectation.

As a workaround, do not use the Document Setup Wizard.

Instead, use a custom template.

Nr. 1 Yes, the problem occurs only when printing and one can't fix it.

Nr. 2 is probably not a bug, but in Europe the default paper is A4. Why should I change it each time I create a new document?

@ 1:

Since you tell that you “wrote a part for horn and saved it”, I suppose that the document is a 1-instrument score, right?

My first guess is that you on the computer screen are viewing the “score”, but you are printing the “linked part”.

Solution:

either

- edit the layout in the “score” - and print the “score”,

or

- edit the layout in the “linked part” - and print the “linked part”.
