I recently downloaded Notepad to teach to my students. I put it on my computer so that I would be familiar with it. I have used Finale for over 30 years. Now whatever I do and want to print or modify, opens up in Notepad. The only way I could printout my files was to uninstall Notepad first. Is there anyway to live with Notepad on your computer without it taking over. Jack
Without knowing your computer operating system (which the General Discussion House Rules ask you always to include) I cannot see a way to help. You can also add this info (along with your version of Finale--the regular program, rather than Notepad) in the notes box of your forum profile, accessible via the pull-down under your name in the gray strip above.
